The application period for the Long Tan Bursary Scheme opened on Vietnam Veterans’ Day 18 August and already more than 500 veterans’ children have registered their interest. Despite the passage of time, these scholarships continue to prove popular with veterans’ children between the ages of 17 and 25, and over the last decade, 367 have undertaken tertiary studies under the auspices of this generous scheme. Applications close on 31 October 2010 for the 2011academic year.
